How to find the suitable disparity range with high resolution?

Post by eren »

After changing the resolution from 800 x 592 to 1600 x 1200, I am not able to catch a suitable range. Is this because I need to recalibrate? Usually I was able to find this interval very quickly with the low resolution, but now that it's high, I always get the disparity map full of gray values like in below image. I've been trying to tweak the slider but no luck.

Is this normal? I need a distance like 40 cm or so, but no matter what I did with the slider, I never got a nice disparity map. Something seems to be off.

Also, the necessity of refreshing the page should be somehow lifted with the next patch. The slider event itself should trigger a refresh operation, otherwise it takes some time since we need to open a second window, move the slider, refresh again and etc. There are better ways of having this functionality in the UI.

Solved it, it was indeed the need of calibration. Without that step, you get a wrong disparity map. Now all is good.
